We extend our sympathy to: 1) Shelby Street and family on the death of her grandfather, Pete Vernon on Wednesday evening, May 8th. The Visitation will be Friday at Woodbine Funeral Home in Nashville from 3:00-8:00pm. The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30am in the same location. 2) the family of Frances Harris who passed away on May 4. The memorial service was at 4th Avenue this morning. The burial was Wednesday in West Tennessee. 2) Nancy Devine and family on the death of her mother-in-law, Ather Graves Devine, on May 2 in Owensboro, KY. Services were on Tuesday, May 6.
Ruth Zachary (mother of Janna Finley) suffered a fall and hit her head on the concrete road (no broken bones, but is bruised). She is in Harpeth Terrace currently in Room 33b. Short visits are welcome. Shelton Wagner (father of Wendy Humphries) had a heart catheterization today, May 8, in Memphis. Brenda Conner continues to recuperate from surgery after breaking her ankle and is doing well. Please continue to pray for Zachary Stafford (infant son of Kenny and Jenna Stafford and grandson of Melody Smiley) in North Carolina as he recuperates from surgery on April 15. We rejoice with: Brenda Capra -- all her tests have come back with great results! and...Kimberly Peacher’s father, Norman Parker, who's test results came back with great news! Give God thanks for answering these prayers! Rebecca Smith (daughter of Hubie and Dee Anna) was baptized April 26 at their home. Addison Johnson and Lauren Johnson (children of Wes and Marcy) were baptized by their grandfather and Martece Buchanan was baptized by Wayne Howell during Sunday service on May 4. Angelia Wyatt's father, Boyd Raper, is doing better and was released from Vanderbilt. He is home now in Missouri. This Sunday

This Sunday Waumba Land (ages 2 through pre-K) at 9:15am and UpStreet (ages kindergarten through 5th grade) at 9:00am! Children's Contribution will again go to Josh and Jennie Gebhardt for expenses incurred through the birth and hospitalization of baby Reese. Please prayerfully consider how much you can help with this need (the medical costs were very high because of the special needs of baby Reese).
Other NewsPost Office Food Drive to benefit Graceworks John Gatlin Food Pantry, Saturday, May 10: If you can drive a route, help at the Franklin Post Office to redistribute food from post office vehicles to Graceworks-bound vehicles, or help unload, sort, or stock food at Graceworks that day, please call Caroline Williams at Graceworks at 794-9055 ext. 32. Nashville Rescue Mission Request: They are low on canned goods so if you can help by donating canned vegetables, please take them directly to the Mission or drop them off in the back hallway by the church office and Bob Ash will deliver them. Thank you! Against the Grain Pantry Needs: The following are items needed by the AtG 180 program: laundry detergent, dryer sheets, paper towels, kleenex, diapers, wipes, bath soap, dishwashing liquid, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, ziplock bags, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hair bows/ties, underwear and socks (for little girls and little boys).
